The next generation of plant-based franks, set to launch in restaurants and grocery stores in 2024, took over traditional hot dog stands in New York on Saturday, Dec. 16, for a special holiday preview.

Impossible Foods has released an exclusive sneak preview of its latest plant-based innovation, the all-new Impossible™ Beef Hot Dog.

The company says Impossible Hot Dogs provide important nutritional metrics. They contain 50% less total fat and saturated fat than the leading brands of animal-based beef hot dogs served in restaurants, as well as an impressive 12g of protein (vs. 6g) and 0mg of cholesterol. . Unlike most animal-based hot dogs, Frank’s contains no added or synthetic nitrates or nitrites, instead using only the natural ones found in cultured celery powder.

Hot dogs are prepared like animal beef and available with a variety of toppings, from classic seasonings like ketchup and mustard to the plant-based Impossible™ Beef Chili. And because Impossible Hot Dogs are made from plants, they use 84% less greenhouse gas emissions, 77% less water, and 83% less land than animal-based beef hot dogs.
