Every year, Hyatt breaks our little hearts when we announce which hotels are changing award categories, as it means some of our favorite properties cost more The Hyatt World point. (In Hyatt’s defense, some properties will also be down.)
In February, we found it 118 Hyatt Hotel has shifted to category, And our analysis found that when these changes take effect, the average award cost increases by 2,444 points per night.

That’s a shame. However, the good news is that it’s not too late to book these properties into the current category, as the changes aren’t officially enabled until March 26th. Repeat. You can book these properties until March 25th (you can stay on the date booked by March 25th). Prices will be higher with all bookings or changes starting March 26th.
Now, the problem is: Which Hyatt Hotels should I book as soon as possible? There are 10 favorites to consider.
Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa
Hawaii is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. You will reach there with points and miles It will make the overall experience feel even better. Sadly, Grand Hyatt Kauai, located on the island’s southern shore, has moved to Hyatt’s most expensive category. Rooms start at 35,000 points per night.

It’s not shocking to see a popular resort in Costa Rica soon become a top-priced Category 8 hotel. The resort has undergone major changes over 1,400 acres. These changes, announced earlier last year, include the addition of a new villa, opening a beach club and rethinking Ostra, the resort’s signature restaurant. Following the renovation, TPG went to visit And we discovered that this property “savours everything that makes Costa Rica special to our guests.”
Currently, Costa Rica tastes start at 35,000 Hyatt Points per night.
Andaz Tokyo Zaranomon Hill
Have you ever been to the past few years? Go to Japan. And those trips usually start with a stay Tokyoone of the most vibrant cities in the world. One of the most magical hotels, especially for Points and Miles enthusiasts, is Andaz Tokyo in Tranomon Hills. The hotel is also famous for its wide range of breakfast, incredible views and green carpets.

If you move from Category 4 to Category 5, Hyatt Regency Newport Beach (known as “New Porter”) has plenty of guests looking for guests Southern California Stay. If you’re flying to Orlando, this is a convenient way to save money. You can arrive on a late flight, go straight to your room and rest Theme park hotel near one of the parks.
Hot Tips: Disney Resort Hotel Allow Guests Enjoy the water park for free on the day they arrive. So, if you spend the night at this airport hotel and then move through the next hotel, you can spend a free day at the Disney Park for smart timing.
But sadly, when the hotel moves to Category 5 there is a bit less magic.
Hyatt Regency Vancouver
Whether you’re heading to Vancouver or on a cruise to explore the beautiful scenery and vibrant nightlife of the city, this Hyatt Regency is an incredible home base. If you’re on a cruise, you can relax in the hotel’s pool or hot tub. Stay comfortable knowing that the cruise terminal is just a few blocks away. Or, if you’re in Vancouver for work or play, you have comfortable rooms, a few restaurants and a gym, and your fitness is on track.

Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa

But even the more expensive rates can’t be denied that this hotel will place a “grand” at Grand Hyatt. The Loppongi Hill location is full of shops, nightlife and entertainment. However, the hotel itself is an oasis away from the busy streets of Tokyo, with 10 bars and restaurants, ranging from French bistros to Edo-style sushi restaurants and jazz lounges all day long.
