How to start a group text on Android
If you want to start a new group text or add more people to an existing group text, follow these simple steps.
Settings may vary depending on your Android smartphone manufacturer.
- open message app.
- Tap quote bubble icon Start a new conversation.
- The search bar allows you to: Add recipients Enter your phone number or name.
- If you have saved your contacts, plus icon Click to select from the list.

- Add everyone you want to add to the group text, please write a message To start it.
- Then tap . arrow icon to send it.

How to add people to a group text
Next, we’ll show you how to add users to an existing group text, whether they’re created or added to an existing group text.
Settings may vary depending on your Android smartphone manufacturer.
- Open. contacts app.
- find group chat In question.
- Tap group name Chat at the top.
- tap Add/remove recipients.

- choose contact address Select the ones you want to add to the group.
- tap end.

How to leave a group text
If you want to keep group text that you created or added, follow these simple steps.
Settings may vary depending on your Android smartphone manufacturer.
- find group chat In question.
- Highlight and Press and hold until you see the option.
- beginning, Mute future notifications From that group chat.

- after that Highlight and hold again.
- select erase.
- You will be asked if you would like to Permanently delete this conversation.select erase.

This will remove you from the group text and delete the conversation from your device. However, other participants can see the group text and continue the conversation without you. You won’t receive messages from the group unless someone adds you again.
