Houston’s newest mini golf course is ready to welcome players. Holey Moley Mini Golf Club We will open this Friday, April 19th.
Located in the former Harlow’s Food & Fun space in the same building as the Regal Edwards Greenway Movie Theater (3839 Wesleyan St.), Holey Moley is an Australian-based concept featuring three nine-hole golf courses. All holes have quirky designs and funny names, such as the Jaws-themed “Gone Fishin.” “Holey Molar” is characterized by a huge toothpaste tube and a hole in the open mouth. The “Parber Shop” is designed to resemble a salon with a barber’s chair and black and white floor tiles. Some refer to pop culture moments from the 80s and his 90s with names such as: Smells like tea spirit, equivalent to a corpse, preface words, birdie hunterand confused and confused.
Other interior details include a mural by Texas artist Good Luck Buddha and plenty of places to take snapshots for social media, including a “Space Daddy” golf cart and silly neon signs. The venue’s sense of humor is also reflected in merchandise such as hats that read “Sex, Drugs, Rock & Hole” and knee-high golf socks with the motto “Let’s talk about socks, baby.” DJs perform every Friday and Saturday from 7pm until 11pm, adding to the lively atmosphere of the venue.
Holey Moley has a 100-seat bar and restaurant called The Caddy Shack. The menu features classic American comfort food with a Texas twist, including wings, nachos, salads, and sandwiches. Specific dishes include:
- chopped brisket sandwich Fried onions, house pickles, slaw and cheddar cheese on Texas toast
- octopus salad Served with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, black beans, ground beef, cheddar cheese, guacamole, sour cream, and salsa.
- grilled elote corn ribs Served with cotija cheese, garlic aioli, tagine and lime
Pizza options include ricotta margherita and alotta meat topped with prosciutto, salami, bacon, pepperoni, sausage and shaved pecorino. Some cocktails come with photo-friendly presentations, such as the “Rub a Dub in the Tub” served in a mini-tub or the “Pop Till You Drop” served in a unicorn.
