Harleton High School held its District Science Fair on January 11th. 54 projects participated in biology, chemistry, and physics. The students began researching, designing, implementing, and analyzing the project in his August during the first semester of the current academic year.

Harleton High School’s overall winner was junior Cooper Foster. Along with Foster, nine of his other projects at HHS have advanced to the East Texas Regional Science Fair, which will be held Feb. 9 at Kilgore Junior College. Those who advanced were Noel Fajardo, Seeley Hammack, Addison Statler, Evan Vance, Taylor Croswell, Lucas Duncan, Cade Wright, Colt Alsobrook and Regan Robbins. They are pictured with advisors Gwen Wright, Kydia Echols and Rochelle Jones.

The top two projects from each East Texas Regional Science Fair participation category that meet ISEF (International Science and Technology Fair) eligibility will advance to TxSEF. Also advancing to the Texas Science and Technology Fair are Cooper Foster, Noel Fajardo, Addison Statler, Taylor Croswell and Colt Alsobrook.

The Texas Science and Technology Fair will be held March 23 at Texas A&M University College Station.
