Saudi Arabia’s King welcomes the oldest pilgrim to the 2024 Hajj.

In an incredible feat, Salaouda Stiti, who claims to be a 130-year-old woman from Algeria, has been recognised as this year’s oldest Hajj pilgrim.

On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, Saudi Airlines welcomed a 130-year-old woman who traveled to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) for the holy annual Hajj pilgrimage.

The Saudi Arabian group shared on its official Twitter account, X/, the arrival of the oldest pilgrim this year, who came from Algeria.

In a now-viral video shared by Saudi Airlines, an Algerian woman is seen receiving a warm welcome from Saudi authorities upon her arrival at Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport.

According to Siasat Daily, Salahuda Setit has reportedly made the necessary preparations to attain ihram before setting off on the holy journey. Her determination to perform the holy pilgrimage of Hajj despite her advanced age has attracted attention from around the world.

This year’s annual Hajj 2024 (Hijri year 1445) will begin on Friday, June 14, 2024 to Wednesday, June 19, 2024.
