Greg Gutfeld: So Border Patrol agents have vowed to leave in droves if Kamala Harris wins in November. This follows an earlier endorsement of Donald Trump by the Border Security Coalition. Oddly enough, you would think that someone called the “Border Czar” would have had all this support sewn up.
She should have won Best Abs at the Teen Choice Awards like me. I’ve been robbed. But the truth is, all of these Border Patrol agents who are running away from their jobs are running away from a swarm of other agents who are running away from their life’s work because they know the Democrats don’t want them to do it. This means that they will be joining. Most are men fleeing traditionally male jobs that require serious physical labor and upper body strength, such as police officers, firefighters, and Teamsters. I didn’t realize it until now, but upper body strength is kind of sexist. I guess God was a misogynist. That (joke) didn’t work.
In short, people in these professions don’t do it for the money, they do it for the mission. There aren’t many Border Patrol agents whose other cars are Lamborghinis. And if you denigrate their jobs and take away their mission, you can expect a rush of ejections that is common in Jets games by the third quarter. And Democrats are wondering why they have trouble getting along with men. What we can do is perhaps redefine them less and respect them more, rather than labeling their core purpose as evil. Stop calling people whipped when it’s all about Larry Kudlow.
So what would happen if teachers’ and nurses’ unions issued similar statements saying they would quit their jobs if Trump were elected? Can you imagine how much the media is wringing and squealing about President Trump not giving credit to these heroes? And yes, I know there are male nurses and teachers. I am. They attack me all the time. There are also female police officers and firefighters. But I’d rather have a man carry me out of the burning apartment. Preferably Ryan Gosling. But whatever your gender, I respect you for doing these jobs. I don’t want to do them, that’s for sure. You think I’m running up the stairs into a burning building to get a bodybuilding trophy? That’s the role of a personal assistant, and I’ll be waiting in the limousine.
But we need these jobs, and Democrats need to stop demonizing them. How demoralized does the Border Patrol feel?According to the Washington Examiner, the agency has lost more than 4,000 personnel since 2020. This represents almost 20% of the workforce. Meanwhile, police departments across the country are unable to hire or retain staff. It’s a hidden version of financing. Tens of thousands of police officers’ salaries were saved by not taking the job in the first place. They made it a job that Americans really didn’t want to do, like work for Kamala Harris. We lost more employees than the Titanic. Frankly, it’s a miracle that police officers are still on the job. AOC must be skipping Broadway with her bodyguard.
Of course, thanks to cashless bail and other crime reform, arrested criminals are back on the streets before they can say, “Hey, where’s my wallet?” But imagine that everything you do for a living is undone before the end of each day. I think my writers can relate to that as well. But what will that do to your morale? How does it feel to stand at the southern border under the scorching sun, trying to protect your country from its legal entrance, only to be told that you are the problem?
The entire agency responsible for dealing with cartels and other immigrant criminals belongs to Kamala’s world, which is actually illegal. Perhaps that’s why Customs and Border Protection had 15 suicides in 2022 alone, forcing them to hire their first suicidologist. I think The View had to hire one person for every guy holding the camera.

But that’s what happens when you’re told that not only is the work you believed in evil, but that you were the bad guy all along, and the mission loses its value. And yes, that generally means a guy wandering among us like an evil monster with a Y chromosome.
So Democrats in the media can try to redefine masculinity all they want. They could pay actors to play real men for Kamala all day long. But no matter who wins next month, the real truth is it’s failing because real men and real women know how much they need Border Patrol agents and men like them. In fact, we can’t do without them. Unlike Kamala.
