Former “Glee” cast member Jenna Ushkowitz (38) is due to give birth to her second child soon.
On Friday, Ushkowitz announced she is pregnant with her second child.
Jenna posted two photos showing her slightly bloated belly. wrote Instagram: “Baby #2 We’re on our way ❤️ We are pregnant and so excited and grateful. It’s been a long road (more on that soon) but for now we’re just enjoying this exciting time.”
In one photo, Ushkowitz was seen holding a positive pregnancy test, writing, “Thank you Clearblue for giving me a clear result and 100% confidence. #ClearblueConfirmed.”
Jenna found out she was pregnant during a trip to the East Coast. Said “I was actually on vacation in New York at the time, visiting family, and as I was packing, I had a Clearblue early digital pregnancy test in my closet and I thought, ‘I might as well pack one, just to be safe,'” she wrote in People magazine.
“So I packed my bags, and the day before I was to leave on my trip, I thought, ‘This feels a lot like this, so I’m going to take this test.’ And so I did, and when it said I was pregnant, I was shocked, surprised,” Ushkowitz recounted. “I was shocked, and of course, overjoyed.”
Jenna didn’t need to say much to her husband, David Stanley: “He was upstairs and when he came down the stairs, I still had that shocked look on my face and he was like, ‘No way,’ he just knew and he was so, so happy. We were so excited for our daughter to be a big sister and to add to our family. It’s really, really special,” she said.
The couple already have a two-year-old daughter, Emma.

Ushkowitz said she is “excited” for Emma to become a big sister.
According to Jenna, Emma “understands that mommy has a baby in her tummy.”
Jenna continued, “She’s like, ‘I’m a big girl. I’m a big sister,’ and she understands babies, so on some level she knows what’s going on. She’ll figure it out soon.”
Ushkowitz also opened up about her second pregnancy, which was “very different” from her first. “It was really dizzying in how different it was. It was a really good lesson in that every pregnancy is different. Every kid is different, and they’re not going to have the same path every time. So it was something I never expected,” she admitted.
Jenna stressed the importance of going with the flow, saying, “I just listen to it, let go of control and go with the flow.”
