Boxing icon George Foreman passed away at the age of 76.
On Friday, his family posted his official news of his handed Instagram Description, “Our hearts are broken. In deep sadness, we announce the death of our beloved George Edward Foreman Sr., surrounded by our loved ones on March 21, 2025. A beloved preacher, devoted husband, beloved father, proud grandfather, he denys faith, humbles, embraces purpose, embraces purpose, and is proud.
“A humanitarian, Olympian and two-time heavyweight champion of the world, he was deeply respected – the power, discipline, belief, and protector of his legacy, is a tireless battle to maintain his good name for his family.”
“We are grateful for the pouring of love and prayer, and ask for kindly for privacy as we respect the extraordinary lives of those who have been blessed to call ourselves.”
The post was explained in a photo showing Foreman along with 11 surviving children and his 40-year-old wife.
Foreman’s career was legendary. Two-time World Heavyweight Champion – In his second long-shot bid at age 45, he also won a gold medal at the Olympics.

His professional boxing record included 81 fights with 76 wins, 68 of which were due to knockouts.
He published his famous name to the business empire, which fixed his signature grille, which earned him an estimated hundreds of millions of dollars.
His grill was not his only work with his name – all five of his sons were named George Foreman.
In addition to them and his fifth wife, Mary Joan, he was survived by six daughters. His daughter Frida, a hugely successful professional boxer, took her life in 2019 at the age of 42.
