Johnny Wactor, known for his role as Brando Corbin on “General Hospital,” was shot and killed in downtown Los Angeles. According to television station KTLA, Wachter was shot and killed during an attempted catalytic converter theft in the early morning hours. Los Angeles Police responded to the incident at the intersection of Pico Boulevard and Hope Street and found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The actor’s youngest brother, Grant, 37, confirmed the death to KTLA. In a statement, Wachter’s agent, David Scholl, called him a “wonderful human being” and a “true moral example for everyone.” According to the LAPD, the victim witnessed three men stealing catalytic converters from his car, and when he confronted them, he was shot by the three. Wachter’s mother, Scarlett, told ABC 7 that her son was away from work at a rooftop bar downtown when the incident occurred. Paramedics rushed Wachter to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
