He “aggressively” defends US sovereignty.
Gallagher, Wisconsin, chairman of the new commission, is convening a bipartisan group of lawmakers in front of the former Chinese Communist Party police station, which the FBI recently raided. Commission members include Rep. Richie Torres (DN.Y.) and Rep. Neil Dunn (R-Fla.) will join Gallagher at the event.
“This isn’t just happening in America, it’s happening all over the world,” Gallagher told Fox News Digital, confirming more than 100 unauthorized Chinese Communist Party police stations around the world. He pointed out that

Last year, the pan-Asian human rights group Safeguard Defenders said:patrol and persuasionIn addition to the 54 the group identified in September, there are an additional 48 Chinese police service stations operating abroad, according to the report.reported location Across 53 countriesThis includes four US-based stations: two in New York City, one in Los Angeles and one in an undisclosed location set up by the Nantong Public Security Bureau.
Safeguard Defenders says there are potential human rights violations related to the station, including the use of harassment and intimidation methods, such as threatening the families of foreign citizens. The station also serves as a center for disseminating Chinese government propaganda and monitoring the actions and opinions of the Chinese public.
Republicans seek answers from Biden officials on reports that China has set up a police force in New York
The Chinese Communist Party’s Overseas Police Department has supported the CCP’s campaign to combat citizens living abroad by allowing Chinese authorities to “conduct policing abroad”. According to China’s Ministry of Public Security, April 2021 Since the campaign began in 2018, 230,000 Chinese citizens have been “persuaded” to return home to face criminal charges.
China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied running an undeclared police force and said the place provided services to its citizens living abroad, such as ID and driver’s license renewals.

Gallagher said he hoped Saturday’s event would not only “bring attention to the issue” but also put pressure on the Justice Department and the FBI.
“We want the FBI and DOJ to act aggressively to protect our sovereignty and, of course, to protect American citizens,” Gallagher said.
Gallagher told Fox News Digital that the “least understood” form of attack by the Chinese Communist Party is the so-called “United Front”, a “combination of intelligence and influence operations.”
“This is probably one of the most brazen expressions,” Gallagher said of the tactics used to influence foreign countries. “They are active in the United States, as well as the Ministry of Public Security, the agency closest to the KGB in China,” he said.
Gallagher told Fox News Digital that he plans to introduce legislation to give the FBI more tools to “more aggressively” pursue the CCP threat.
Gallagher acknowledged that the FBI is already working on China, saying “people are starting to wake up.”
“You just have to make sure you have the right strategy,” he said.
Gallagher said the law has not yet been introduced, but the framework is either from or on behalf of foreign adversaries like China, North Korea, Russia and Iran. If done, it would increase penalties for criminal harassment. The law could also increase penalties for those who fail to register as foreign agents.

“There are already penalties now, but if we could raise the bar, it would effectively force the FBI to be more aggressive about it, which would have a deterrent effect,” he said. “Please pursue these illegal police stations more aggressively.”
FBI Director Christopher Wray said at a U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee hearing last year that he was aware of the station’s existence and had found the problem. I am deeply concerned. However, he declined to provide details of the agency’s investigative work on the matter.
“For me, it’s outrageous to think that the Chinese police would try to open a store in New York without proper coordination,” Ray said. “It violates sovereignty and circumvents standard judicial and law enforcement cooperation processes.”
Gallagher said the Chinese threat is a bipartisan issue and that his committee will “identify a bipartisan center of gravity” to work on both sides of the aisle.

“I think we can find parts of the executive branch and work with them to do things that I don’t agree with or that the White House would undermine our stance on the Chinese Communist Party. Find out where you feel you’re going, and I feel obligated to speak up and be honest, not just to condemn Mr Biden, but hopefully to improve our policies,” Gallagher said. said Mr.
