Flavor Sam, a North American flavor manufacturer, has completed construction and opened a 35,000 square foot expansion at its Kalamazoo, Michigan facility. The increased footprint will enhance the facility’s emulsification, extraction and warehousing capabilities and include investments in process automation to improve efficiency, quality and safety. The on-site Innovation Center pilot plant features new UHT and HTST processing capabilities to support FlavorSum’s Dairy Center of Excellence.

In addition to innovation centers in Kalamazoo, Ont., and Mississauga, Flavorsam will open a 10,000-square-foot innovation center in Marlton, N.J. The center has expanded flavor creation labs, analytical and application spaces, and facilitates collaborative sessions with technical teams. Expertise in food and beverage flavor solutions. The New Jersey Innovation Center will also include a Beverage Center of Excellence with pilot capabilities in carbonation, canning, tunnel pasteurization and hot filling.
An official ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony is expected to take place at the Kalamazoo facility in spring 2024.
