last night, disney cruise line Newest 4,000-passenger ship named disney treasurethe glittering ceremony at Manhattan’s Pier 66 featured a drone show and a live performance by Jordin Sparks singing the ship’s national anthem. Today, TPG previewed the ship and sampled some of the much-anticipated new spaces, including the Haunted Mansion Bar and Plaza de Coco Restaurant.
Disney Treasure shares the same layout as its sister ships; disney wishbut its interior space has a unique decoration and theme. This ship is dedicated to adventure and exploration, and several of its signature bars are inspired by iconic Disney theme park attractions.
Here’s your first look inside Disney’s newest cruise ship, along with photos from the ship tour. Stay tuned — TPG will report from actual sailing and experience the fully revitalized venue in December.
first impression
Disney Treasure’s Grand Hall recalls palaces in Africa and Asia, a subtle homage to Disney’s “Aladdin.” The central carpet features a fountain motif, and an elaborate chandelier pays homage to Disney Cruise Line’s six current ships.
The Grand Hall will not only be your first impression of the ship upon boarding, but will also be home to a variety of performances, including live music, new characters, and storytelling from Coriander and Sage. (After-hours stories for adults will also be performed.)
From the Grand Hall, guests can adventure in different directions aboard the Disney Treasure.

Disney Treasure Restaurant
Plaza de Coco
Plaza de Coco, a Mexican-inspired restaurant based on the movie Coco, is a new addition to the ship’s dining rotation. The space is warm and inviting with rich colors, and the hallway leading to the venue is decorated with family photos and ofrendas, setting the tone for the meal to come.

The dining experience here includes live mariachi music and dancing by characters from the movie “Coco.” Guests eat dinner here twice during the week-long voyage, so there are two different shows. The first show is about family, and the second celebrates the moment of death.

of World of Marvel Restaurant He made his debut in Disney Wish and returned with Treasure. In addition to the same show as Wish, “Quantum Encounter,” the venue will also feature a second “Guardians of the Galaxy” show titled “Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix.” .
We saw a new show. You’re sure to bring out all the good vibes with the adorable Groot. In between scenes, test your knowledge with superhero trivia.
jumbo sweets
Jumbeaux’s Sweets is a new ice cream parlor and candy shop inspired by Jumbeaux’s Café from the movie Zootopia. You can order all kinds of ice cream, sundaes in souvenir containers and many other treats.

Disney Treasure is introducing some fun new Disney-themed immersive bars. Skipper Society is inspired by Disney’s Jungle Cruise ride and its wise captain.
Expect lots of bad jungle-themed puns and drinks. For a snack, try the waffles with Nutella.
periscope pub
The Periscope Pub is themed after Jules Verne’s Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea (and Disney’s 1954 film version and theme park attraction).
The bar offers craft beers and pub fare such as burgers and soft pretzels for an additional fee. Don’t forget to look up as you never know which creatures may be swimming above you.
haunted mansion parlor
Disney Treasure’s Haunted Mansion Parlor takes a nautical approach to the spooky yet beloved theme park attraction, the Haunted Mansion.

The bar show, complete with stories of seances and murders at sea, unfolds in five-minute increments over an hour and a half. Families can enjoy the spooky atmosphere and fun sodas and mocktails until 9 p.m., when the space becomes adults-only.
Scat Cat Lounge
Scat Cat Lounge, located just off the ship’s grand hall, was inspired by Disney’s animated film The Aristocats.

It’s a stylish place with jazz piano and cocktails served in cat-face glasses. Signature drinks include tea-themed cocktails.

Disney Treasures Cabin
Disney Treasure has 1,256 cabins and suites, ranging from windowless cabins within cabins to two-story suites within the ship’s false funnel. The cabin design will incorporate scenes from Disney films such as “Aladdin,” “Pocahontas,” “Finding Nemo,” “Up,” “Luca” and “Encanto.”

The Concierge Suite features “The Lion King,” and the four Royal Suites pay homage to the tigers from “The Jungle Book” and “Aladdin.”

The Royal Suite is a stunning two-story suite with a downstairs living area, an upstairs sleeping area, and a spacious balcony with an infinity hot tub.

The most elaborate suite on board is the two-story Tomorrow Tower Suite. The approximately 2,000 square foot multi-room suite features a futuristic design inspired by Epcot and sleeps up to eight guests. It does not have a private balcony as it is located within the ship’s false funnel.

Pool deck and AquaMouse
The pool deck at Disney Treasure is more than just a water play area, perfect for cooling off on a hot day. It’s also the space for Disney’s signature deck parties, including the Pirates Night Show with fireworks.
Water ride AquaMouse returns to Disney Treasure with the third new show in the rotating short animation series. The animation, called “The Curse of the Golden Egg,” follows Mickey and Minnie as they search for lost treasure inside an ancient temple.
Diapered children will love the Toy Story-themed splash area. Even adults may want to play here.
Disney’s Oceania Club is one of the cruise industry’s most creative kids’ clubs, and Disney Treasure’s complimentary youth facilities are no exception. Similar to Disney Wish, children (and adults) can enter the club via the Grand Hall using the slide.

Inside, there are a number of adorable themed rooms offering a variety of programs, from the Imagineering Lab to Marvel Academy to Fairy Tale Hall. Kids can design theme park rides and try them out in the ride simulator, or design their own superhero suits.
Adults can try out the fun during open house hours. Otherwise, Oceania Club is for children only.
Parents can leave their infants and toddlers at It’s a Small World Nursery for supervised naps and playtime for an hourly fee.
Sarabi is a two-story activity space on board with a Lion King theme.
broadway style show
Disney Treasure will debut “Disney’s Moana” as a new Broadway-style musical. We only saw a little bit of the first act, and the sets, puppets, costumes, and choreography were breathtaking. The cast is one of the most diverse casts Disney has ever assembled on a cruise ship, and Disney ensured that cultural consultants of Hawaiian and Samoan descent were involved in music and choreography choices.
Other shows on this ship are “She’s the Adventure” and “Beauty and the Beast.”
The Disney Treasure will set sail on its maiden voyage on December 21st, and will spend a week alternating between the Eastern and Western Caribbean. This ship will appeal to families and cruisers of all ages with its warm, inviting interior and cleverly themed spaces.
