On Wednesday, “Extra” spoke with fake heiress Anna Delvey and her new “Dancing with the Stars” partner Ezra Sosa after the Season 33 cast was announced in New York.
The process of getting Anna on the show was a bit complicated, as she explained, “I had to apply for permission to travel out of state with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which took about 10 days, I think. So I didn’t know until the middle of last week if I would be able to participate, so it all happened last minute.”
Delby was convicted of defrauding New York’s elite and was released in February 2022 after serving just under four years in prison.
As for how she’s feeling, Anna smiled and said, “I’m just trying to get through the day.”
Ezra said: “She brought her whole glamour team with her. She’s the only celebrity with a glamour team.”
What Anna is most looking forward to is “a little exercise.”
Delvi was excited to learn the cha-cha.
Ezra joked, “The only dance she knows is the cha-cha, so I’ll give her the whole rundown and then she’ll come back and ask me that question, and obviously she’s super excited about the cha-cha.”
While Anna was showing off her dance moves, Ezra added, “She’s working on her hip movements.”
Delvey considers Olympian Steven Nedorosic his biggest rival.
Later this month, Anna will be taking Ezra to New York Fashion Week. She said: “I’m really excited to take Ezra to fashion week. He’ll be walking in one of our shows… I’m producing five shows this season with Kelly Cutrone… Last year he produced a show on my rooftop, so 9/11 will be our one-year anniversary.”
When asked what she’d wear on the dance floor, Anna replied, “I don’t think I have a choice… I can’t wear Balenciaga.”
Ezra interjected, “You could also embellish it with rhinestones. If you want a Balenciaga or something custom made gown, I’m sure they’ll add some sparkle.”
