‘The Facts of Life’ star Nancy McKeon remembered her beloved brother while paying tribute to her friend and co-star Linda Lavin.
Rabin, 87, passed away suddenly on Sunday, shortly after being diagnosed with lung cancer. McKeon responded by posting a photo of her late brother, actor Philip McKeon, and Lavin. Instagram. The pair starred in the iconic sitcom Alice from 1976 to 1985, with Linda playing Alice and Philip playing her son Tommy.
Nancy wrote a touching caption: “💔Rest in peace, Linda… take care of each other💙🕊️.”

Philip passed away about five years ago at the age of 55 after a long battle with an unspecified illness. His exact cause of death has not been disclosed.
For many years, Nancy remained friendly with Lavin. On June 27, 2022, she and her mother attended Lavin’s concert at Birdland in New York. Post The happy photo and caption read, “…What an amazing moment 💜 My mom and I got to see @linda_lavin perform at the always amazing Birdland Jazz Club and debut her new album ‘Love Notes.’ I was so happy ♥️…It was a wonderful night of music and friends :)”
One of the hashtags in her post, #missyoudude, is a phrase she has used many times online to remember Philip, usually on his birthday on November 11 each year .
With Lavin’s death, only Polly Holliday, the wisecracking Flo who created “Kiss My Grits!”, turned 87. ’70s catchphrase — the last remaining original cast member of “Alice.” Vic Tyback passed away in 1990 and Beth Howland passed away in 2015. Diane Ladd, 89, and Celia Weston, 73, who played waitresses in the season after Holiday left, are still alive.

Nancy played Joe Polniacek on The Facts of Life from 1980 to 1988. In recent years, she appeared in the TV movie “You Light Up My Christmas” (2019) and several episodes of the TV series “Panic” (2021).
She just finished a short run in an off-Broadway play. “Pen Friend” A work about an American and British woman who send letters to each other for decades, starting in their teens. She is scheduled to return to the stage from February 5th to 9th.
