In a heart-warming gesture, Dubai Police recently made a police vehicle-obsessed boy’s dream come true by letting him sit inside one of the vehicles. The boy, named Azlan, has a natural obsession with police vehicles and the job. When his father explained his son’s passion to a Dubai police officer, the officer, as a kind act, allowed him to sit inside the police vehicle and honk its special horn.
Azlan’s father reiterated his respect for Dubai Police, saying: “I told the Dubai police officers that my son Azlan is crazy about police cars and police work. They didn’t hesitate to let him sit in the car and honk the special horn. I have a lot of respect for them,” adding that the officers “may look tough on the outside but are kind inside.”
Since Azlan’s story went viral, internet sleuths have been praising Dubai police for their kind act, with one user commenting: “Oh my goodness!”, another writing: “Love Dubai Police,” and yet another adding: “Made a kid happy.”
In fact, this is not the first time Dubai Police has helped a child achieve his dream: in 2021, a similar story about an Asian child made headlines when the father of Lucas Li Zhao contacted police to inform them that his son wanted to drive a luxury police patrol car.

A team from Dubai Tourism Police arrived at the boy’s home with police toys and uniforms, and gave him a ride in a police supercar – an experience that Lucas’s father later revealed not only made his son happy, but also had a positive impact on his life.
