“There was a little bit of an awkward period of, ‘Okay, what do we do?'” LaMacchia said.

In addition to being vice president and general counsel for California Regional MLS, the nation’s largest multiple listing service, Mr. Zorn is also president of real estate investment firm ZEC Investments, a mediator and arbitrator for real estate disputes, and a former adjunct professor of real estate at California Baptist University.

He held a California broker license for many years until it expires in 2022, and has held a broker affiliate license in Tennessee with eXp Realty since 2019.

During the Q&A, Zorn spoke about his upcoming appearance on Inman Connect Las Vegas, which will focus on practical, actionable strategies to help agents get the basics right when it comes to paperwork and transaction management.

“Starting Aug. 17, we will be doing live role-playing of buyer and seller objections,” Zorn said.James [Dwiggins] The host is the three of us, and we give examples like, “This is what my listing looks like,” or, “This is what it looks like when I communicate with buyers.” James asks us questions like, “How do you overcome this objection? Or, what if the seller says, ‘I don’t want to pay anything.’ How do you handle that?”
