No joke, the IT geniuses at Commando headquarters wipe down their phones once a year. It may seem tedious (and it is, and it is), but it will keep things running fast and smooth. please think about it. If you clean everything up regularly, you’ll accumulate far less trash.

Make sure to back up your phone first and then perform a factory reset to easily onboard all your important information.

For iPhone:

  • Open setting > general > Transfer or reset your iPhone > Reset.
  • select Erase all content and settings.

About Samsung

  • Open setting > general management.
  • Swipe and tap resetafter that Reset data to factory defaults > reset.
  • Follow the onscreen instructions to confirm, then tap . Delete all.

For Google Pixel

  • Open setting > system > Reset options > Erase all data (factory reset).
  • Tap to erase all data from your phone’s internal storage. Erase all data.

Smart tech lifehacks to save time and stay safe

When things get out of hand, you probably take the time to clean out your email inbox. Have you ever done the same thing with your text messages? Over time, old conversations, marketing texts, spam, and other junk pile up. It’s easy to clear.

Just swipe on the chat and you’ll see the option to delete it. You can also long press on a chat to see options. On iPhone, tap more > trash can > Delete the message. On Android, press and hold Thread; Trash icon.

Please update your OS

people who never update These are the people who say “no thanks” to system upgrades. The reasons vary, but ultimately it’s a bad idea. Even if you don’t need new features, updates fix security issues and keep you safe.

Cell phone ports collect dust, dirt, and grime. Using cotton swabs can leave behind lint that may be worse than when you started. A toothpick is fine if you’re very careful, but it’s easy to break a sharp tip inside the port. Cheaper tools made for the job will work better.

Next, clean the case thoroughly. For plastic, rubber, or silicone cases, get an old toothbrush and a little warm, soapy water. Lightly dampen a microfiber cloth with a mild leather detergent and water. Gently rub the case in a circular motion.
