Samantha Cope has broken her silence to speak out about her shocking divorce from Joey Lawrence.
On Saturday, the actress Instagram Don’t shy away from crying in sad situations, she writes, “A wonderful friend recently told me, ‘Don’t be afraid of tears. Let them flow, because every tear is God gently squeezing the pain and devastation out of your heart to make room for new, beautiful feelings.'”
Adding more humour, she added: “She also warned me: ‘The more you cry, the less you pee’. So just let it flow. You can do it. 🩵🙏🏻”
Cope, 37, married Lawrence, 48, two years ago.
Her post included happy photos of her one-year-old daughter Dylan Rose and a voiceover from Therapy season 4’s Niecy Nash, in which she offers encouraging words, “Look at you! Look at how much you’ve grown…. There were times when I was so worried.”
Cope and Lawrence’s divorce was confirmed on Aug. 20. The two met while filming “My Husband’s Brother” in 2020 and married in May 2022.
