Dolly Parton’s husband Carl Dean passed away at the age of 82.
Sad news was delivered via Dolly’s on Monday Instagram Account: “Dolly Parton’s husband, Carl Dean, died in Nashville on March 3rd, at the age of 82. He is survived by his brothers Sandra and Donnie.”
There was also a message from 79-year-old Dolly. He said, “Karr and I have had many wonderful years together. Words cannot do justice to the love we have shared over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy.”
The post ended and “family sought privacy during this difficult time.”
The cause of his death is currently unknown, but he has been battling Alzheimer’s since 2019.
Dolly and Carl would have been celebrating their 59th wedding anniversary in May.
Last year, Alesia Davis from “Extra” spoke with Dolly.
She says, “Every spring he gets a mason jar and brings me a large bouquet of yellow flowers. Sometimes he will write a poem for me, and it is always the sweetest thing ever.”
