A few weeks before his trial began, Sean “Diddy” Combs refused the plea deal.
During court hearing Friday, prosecutors said they had not reached a judicial agreement but no details were made.
At the same hearing, Diddy’s lawyer, Mark Agnifilo, argued that the rapper was a “swinger” rather than a criminal.
Agnifilo said, “I thought you had a lifestyle and called it a swinger or something you do and thought it was common. A lot of people think it’s appropriate because it’s common.”
Judge Arun Subramanian ruled that the “swinger” defense could be used in court, but he was unable to name known numbers that lived in the “swinger” lifestyle.
The Combs team got some bad news, but their request to attack his infamous video of him being removed from the exam was denied.
The judge said, “Defence cannot show that footage is unacceptable. There is no unfair bias against Mr. Combs.”
In a federal complaint starting in September, Diddy was charged with assault, conspiracy, sex trafficking and transporting to engage in prostitution.
In January, prosecutors filed a charge claiming that Combs and his associates used his “power and fame” to blackmail the victim “by pretending to be a romantic relationship” and seducing them to engage in sexual activity.
A month later, Diddy was accused of using physical violence and forced labor against an employee in the second replacement charge.
in Third Didi, the charges of the charges obtained by “extras,” is charged with two counts of sex trafficking, two means of transportation engaged in prostitution, and one count of assault.
Diddy denied any fraud.
