Denise Richards Says ‘Special Forces’ Co-Star Cam Newton ‘Saved Me’ (Exclusive)

Denise Richards and Cam Newton talk to Extra’s Melvin Robert about answering the call to take on grueling military training in Season 3 of “Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test.”

Dennis revealed that he initially turned down the opportunity. She explained: “I said, ‘No, I’m not doing this’… They kept calling… They said it was more mental than physical. They lied! No, I was scared too because I heard there were athletes too.”

She continued, “I was very nervous, even though I wasn’t competing against anyone else. But being on the show with so many athletes was scary.”

Richards also gushed about Cam being a great help during the experience, saying, “Cam saved me on this show. I’m not kidding. He carried my backpack, things like that. He and Golden helped me a lot. [Tate] We had to wear the same thing, and there were differences in size and weight, so it was really nice that we girls helped out. ”

Cam pointed out that “the bags weighed the same.” Dennis continued. “I felt like the weak link, but they… they helped us.” She added, “Really, really, I wouldn’t have gotten through my time there without him.” I couldn’t have done that. That’s the truth.”

Newton asked in response to a fellow recruit calling him a teddy bear. This experience was one that allowed everyone to come out of their shell. ”

He’s also forged close friendships, “building real relationships with people day in and day out,” he said, adding that when he sees his friends outside of shows, “I’m building real relationships with people day in and day out.” For a lifetime. ”

Newton said the toughest part was that “he could quit at any time.” “Are you sure you want to do this? ” It was like that. ”

He said group members motivating each other every morning helped them keep moving forward. “Someone said something to me that reminded me of the importance of friendship, the importance of relationships, the importance of knowing how to get along with each other,” Kam said.
