Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and the rest of the Democratic Committee seem ready to make Joe Biden an offer he can’t refuse: They say he will withdraw from this election, either way, with his consent or destroying his legacy.
Just when Biden thought his candidacy was safe after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump put a stop to rumors of a top candidate change, they pulled him back again. And now experts are saying his campaign won’t survive the weekend. We’ll see how it goes.
For the Democratic family bosses, ending Biden’s political career is a three-step process: first they ask him to resign, then they order him to resign, and finally they threaten to destroy him if he doesn’t smarten up. We’re almost at the third step.

The benefits of step one are abundantly clear: Had Biden selflessly and generously set aside his own interests for the good of his party and his country and withdrawn from the race, we might have seen the kind of double-digit increase in approval ratings that Lyndon Baines Johnson enjoyed in 1968. That increase would likely benefit a new candidate like Kamala Harris.

Similarly, he will ensure his legacy as a caretaker president who saved the country from the evils of the Trump family and empowered a new, younger generation.
That ship has already sailed, and we’re right on the second leg, but Biden has already rejected it, with the Obama team saying, “That’s a great achievement. Too bad if anything happens.”
Threats from the editorial boards of The New York Times and The Chicago Tribune, Democratic consultants, have been ignored by a stubborn incumbent president who, for some reason, believes he is in charge.

Now Biden seems poised to wake up with a bloody horse’s head in his bed, but Democrats have no shortage of horses to choose from.
Maybe the audio recordings of the interviews with Special Counsel Robert Hur will be released. If the audio was not humiliating for Biden, it would have been released already. So it’s not a good thing, without any justification. Maybe Attorney General Merrick Garland will suddenly change his mind. This is possible.
And Hunter, the prodigal son, is hoping to escape punishment and pursue a career as an artist. If Joe declines to run, there’s no reason he can’t pardon the Fredos, especially if he wins or loses the election.

Finally, there is the ultimate measure: the 25th Amendment: Democrats would try to remove Biden from office and undermine his legacy, making him the only president ever removed from office for losing his mind.
Basically, the Democrats have politely asked Joe, Jill and Hunter to leave the system. Soon the door will close and we will hear the words “you can’t leave now” before the fistfights begin.
So the Democrats are not lacking in tools to remove Joe from the running, but at the same time, the big shot is not without his own moves: if Joe doesn’t go quietly into the night and refuses to endorse Kamala Harris, the Democrats will find themselves faced with a new fight at the convention.
Biden could also overturn the prosecution’s evidence and expose Democrats’ family secrets, effectively burning down the party that is trying to take him down.

No, this is up to Joe, even if he stumbles around in his bathrobe, tweeting and drooling. For now, he’s still the boss, and if attempts to take him down fail, the Bidens will be the ones dealing with all the family problems.
And if you think that’s not possible, then I ask you, who is naive then?

The next few days will be crucial as Biden’s opponents emerge. Can Joe Biden still hold on? Can he even win? Yes he can. And nothing infuriates more than a boss who has been betrayed.
Will Joe step down from his presidency and grab a cannoli? We’ll find out soon. Either way, with three months left in the race to finish, everything could change.
