The first three fights at UFC 300 will be official.
UFC CEO Dana White announced Thursday night that former light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochaska will face Aleksandar Rakic and former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling will move up to featherweight on April 13 in Las Vegas. announced on social media that he will face Calvin Cathal at UFC 300. White said none of the three fights will be main or co-main events on the pay-per-view card, which is expected to be the biggest fight in UFC history.
White also made several other match announcements.
Former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker will take on former title challenger Paulo Costa at UFC 298 on February 17th in Anaheim, California. The previously announced fight between Ian Machado Garry and Jeff Neal will also be rescheduled for UFC 298, White said.
The co-main event of the UFC Fight Night card on February 24th in Mexico City will be a five-round battle between former interim featherweight champion Yair Rodriguez and Brian Ortega. Brandon Moreno vs. Amir Albazi will be the headliner.
The main event of UFC Fight Night on March 30th in Atlantic City, New Jersey, will feature a likely women’s flyweight title eliminator match between New Jersey native Erin Blanchfield and France’s Manon Fioreau.
