A former Congressional candidate and ex-WWE wrestler turned himself in to Las Vegas police Wednesday night after an arrest warrant for open murder was issued earlier in the day.
Dan Rodimer, 45, was identified Wednesday as a suspect in an altercation that occurred inside a room at a Las Vegas resort in October, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The department said medical personnel responded to a call for help inside a room at the resort in the 3000 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard on Oct. 29.
The man in the room, later identified as 47-year-old Christopher Tapp, was taken to the hospital with “injuries consistent with the accident,” police said at the time.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office ruled his death a homicide due to blunt force trauma to the head.

Rodimer, a Republican, ran unsuccessfully against Democratic U.S. Rep. Susie Lee for Nevada’s 3rd District seat in 2020.
He then moved to Texas and ran in a 2021 special election to fill the seat vacated by Republican U.S. Rep. Ron Wright, who contracted COVID-19 and died in office. Rodimer was one of 23 candidates to win the seat, receiving less than 3% of the vote.
Rodimer competed in WWE as a professional wrestler from 2004 to 2007.
