Pat Colbert, best known for playing hostess/manager Dora Mae on the late-night soap opera “Dallas,” has died at the age of 77.
Thursday Colbert’s sister confirmed his death in Compton, California on June 23 after suffering three strokes over the past decade, the report said.
Colbert was born on January 16, 1947 in Los Angeles.
She appeared in more than 60 episodes of Dallas from 1983 to 1991, as the show’s only returning African-American actress, and starred opposite Bill Cosby in the feature film Leonard Part 6 (1987), as well as in the films SOB (1981), Hysterical (1982), Tom & Dusty Carry On The Lost Treasure (2014) and If It Ain’t For Him (2015).
Her other television appearances include Flamingo Road (1980–1981), Capitol (1982–1987), Sisters (1991), and True Colors (1991).
She also appeared in the 1985 television miniseries “California Death.”
In addition to her sister, she is survived by two brothers and a son, Michael.
