Many credit cards offer Airport lounge accessThe types of lounges available with each card vary greatly. The Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard is the only co-branded credit card that includes complimentary access to American Airlines Admirals Club lounges.
The annual fee for the card is $595, which may seem like a lot, but it’s still much cheaper than the card’s annual fee. Admirals Club Membership (Currently $850 for new members).
To get your card approved, credit score 670 or higher is recommended.

Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Elite Benefits
What sets this card apart from its competitors is that it is offered for free. Admirals Club Access. The primary cardholder can receive full Admirals Club membership for themselves and two of their immediate family members or traveling companions if they have a same-day boarding pass on American Airlines or a partner.
This credit card is tied to the cardholder’s AAdvantage account number, so you don’t need to carry your credit card with you to access the club.
Admirals Club membership fees typically range between $700 and $850, depending on availability. Status level with Americans. That means the annual fee includes lounge access and doesn’t take into account all other benefits.
You can add up to 10 authorized user. There is an additional annual fee of $175 for the first three authorized users and $175 for each authorized user thereafter. Each authorized user may access Admirals Club for themselves and up to two companions. Please note that authorized users only have access to the Admirals Club, not full access. There are three statement credits available.
- Get up to $120 back on eligible items avis Or cheap car rental by calendar year (This credit was limited to July 2024)
- Get up to $120 back on eligible Grubhub purchases every 12 billing statements (up to $10 statement credit per monthly billing statement)
- up to $120 lift The credit is $10 per year ($10 monthly Lyft credit), but you must first take three qualifying rides each month to receive the credit.
Other valuable perks this card offers include:
- Enhanced airport experience: Up to eight other travelers on the same reservation as you can enjoy priority check-in (where available), airport inspection (where available), and boarding benefits. Regardless of the class of service you are traveling in, you can also check in at the Business Class check-in location (or First Class check-in if Business Class is not available).
- First checked baggage free on domestic itineraries: On domestic itineraries operated by American Airlines or its regional subsidiaries, the first checked bag is free for you and up to eight companions on the same reservation. To qualify for free checked baggage, your flight must be marketed, sold and operated by American Airlines.
- 25% off on eligible in-flight sales: This effectively means you get 25% off on food and drinks when you pay with your card (not including onboard Wi-Fi).
- Global Entry/TSA PreCheck Fee Statement Credit: Earn up to $120 in statement credits when you pay your Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fee with this card. Credits are available once every four years. There’s no real reason to just register for PreCheck since you also receive TSA PreCheck when you register for Global Entry.
The card dropped travel protection a few years ago, but has reintroduced trip cancellation and interruption, trip delay and lost baggage coverage, and rental car insurance coverage.

Earn Miles with Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Elite
and Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Elite MastercardEarn 4 miles per dollar spent on eligible purchases on American Airlines. Then, if you spend $150,000 on purchases in a calendar year, you’ll earn an increased rate of 5 miles per dollar spent on U.S. purchases for the remainder of the calendar year.
You can also earn 10 miles for every dollar spent on eligible rental cars and hotels booked through American’s. rental car and Hotel reservation siterespectively.
Lastly, earn 1 mile per dollar spent on all other eligible purchases.
Cardholders get 10,000 bonus loyalty points After reaching 50,000 Loyalty Points in a Status Qualification Year. If you reach 90,000 Loyalty Points in the same status qualification year, you will receive an additional 10,000 Loyalty Points bonus.
You will receive the bonus no matter how you earn your loyalty points. For example, you can buy American Airlines tickets and earn 50,000 loyalty points through shopping. AAdvantage Portal Earn 10,000 bonus points just for having the card.
Redeem Miles with Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Elite
Lowest prices for round-trip flights in the United States tend to start at 7,500 miles each way for flights less than 500 miles in distance.
Previously available web benefits include domestic cross-country flights for 5,000 miles each way in Economy Class or 15,000 miles each way in First Class, flights to Europe starting at 9,000 miles one-way, and flights to Brazil starting at 15,000 miles one-way. Includes airfare.
Alternatively, you can get a ton of value by doing Redeem AAdvantage Miles Covers premium cabin benefits on partner airlines including Cathay Pacific, Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways.
