Xpeng says its P7 sedan has a range of 576 kilometers on a single charge and starts at €49,990 ($54,917) in the Netherlands. Claiming 602 kilometers on a single charge, Tesla’s Model 3 Long Range costs 52,990 in the Netherlands.

However, Xpeng’s G9 SUV is priced higher than its closest competitor, Tesla’s Model Y. Xpeng claims that his G9 can travel up to 570 kilometers on a single charge. Tesla’s Model Y Long Range can travel up to 533 km on a single charge. Xpeng has priced the G9 at €57,990 in the Netherlands, compared to €53,990 for Tesla’s Model Y Long Range, as an example of a price comparison.

Xpeng is not just Tesla, but other Chinese automakers and Volkswagenare betting their future on electric vehicles.
