Cher’s musician son Elijah Bleu Allman and his wife Marie King seem to be over!
King filed for divorce 11 years after the marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.
Documents obtained in court People MagazineKing listed their separation date as March 31st.
As part of the divorce, Marie is seeking $6,000 a month for temporary spousal support and possession of a 2017 Toyota Prius. However, if Allman wants to keep the car, she is asking for a one-off payment of $2,000 and a $500 a month with spouse support, in order to “get the vehicle for her use.”
King also requires Allman to pay attorneys’ fees.
In a statement, Marie said: “We have been on a beautiful 13 years of journey and I am filled with memories that I always cherish. We remain friends and Elijah always holds a special place in my heart. Turning the page into this next chapter, I ask for privacy and I am truly grateful for your understanding.”
In January 2024, Allman filed for divorce, but later filed a month to dismiss the divorce “without prejudice” and was granted by a judge.
The two have had ups and downs over the years.
In 2023, King filed court documents alleging that Marie and Elijah were trying to settle, and that the singer was worried about her son, Cher hired four men to acquit Allman from her hotel room in New York.
The king claimed that one of the men said that her cheer was the one who hired them.
Shale sets the record straight, I’ll say it People, “The rumors are not true.”
Last year, Cher asked Elijah for a temporary guardian, citing issues of mental health and substance abuse, which was denied.
King opposed the request of Cher’s guardians in her own court filing. She writes: “Elijah is a wonderful musical, conceptual artist, king, thoughtful and generous man. He is the love of my life and I absolutely adore him.
Elijah and Marie tied the knot in 2013.
