CHEBOYGAN — The Cheboygan Opera House has a lot going on this July.
From Chamberfest performances to big band swing, here’s what’s on the schedule this month.
- July 13: The Chamberfest series continues with Evren Ozer at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 13. Pianist Ozer will perform a program called “Music of the Night,” featuring works by Beethoven, Debussy, Bartok, Schumann and Ravel. Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for veterans and free for students.
- July 16: Muhlbone, the musical duo of multi-instrumentalist John Ragusa and roots music expert Hugh Poole, will perform at the Opera House on Tuesday, July 16, at 7:30 p.m. The duo is known for traditional blues. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for veterans and $10 for students.
- July 22: The world-famous Glenn Miller Orchestra, a big band known for concerts and swing dancing, returns to the Opera House on Monday, July 22 at 7:30 p.m. The current Glenn Miller Orchestra was formed in 1956 and has been touring the world ever since. Tickets are $25-40, with a $5 discount for veterans. Student tickets are $10.
- July 26: This Chamberfest concert will feature the Pacifica Quartet on stage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 26. Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for veterans and free for students.
- July 31: The Sound Garden Project, presented by Interlochen Public Radio, will present a free classical music concert in Cheboygan. The PULSE Saxophone Quartet will perform in Washington Park at 7 p.m. In case of rain, the concert will be held in Festival Square.
