ChatGPT was launched by OpenAI in November 2022 and has been a big hit so far, but not always for the right reasons.
Students are also starting to use AI models to cheat their homework. AI bots, so-called AI bots, basically do everything a student should do while developing critical thinking skills in a learning environment.
Now the educators and experts behind anti-cheat software are doing their best to stop this.

How does ChatGPT work?
ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence model that can fully converse with anyone who uses it. It’s designed to answer follow-up questions, admit mistakes, challenge false assumptions, and deny inappropriate requests.
The reason this has become a problem for teachers with young students is that the ChatGPT model can return human-like answers, so asking the model to write an essay on a topic such as the Civil War in a high-level style. Because you can school student.
The model spits out an essay and the student can take the words and pass them on to the teacher. You can also ask the model to be written in a way that avoids AI detection.
How did OpenAI respond?
OpenAI, responsible for creating ChatGPT, has a system called AI Text Classifier. This is intended to detect if the text was generated by her ChatGPT.
However, when asked to write in a way that evades AI detection, ChatGPT does a convincing job with the wording of its responses to make it look like a real human is writing them.
AI Text Classifier uses 5 grades to determine if a text was written by an AI. So far, the tool has provided only 26% of AI-written texts with a “Likely AI-generated” grade.

Because of this lack of accuracy, teachers have had a hard time approaching students when they feel plagiarism has been used because the results of AI text classifiers have been so unsuccessful, and they have been unable to classify innocent students as such. I don’t want to accuse you of any serious behavior. .
How can this issue be fixed?
OpenAI is aware of this issue and continues to update ChatGPT’s ethical response. This means that if a student asks her to respond in a way that evades AI detection, they may issue more warning responses or refuse to answer questions. .
Anti-cheat software company Turnitin is also working hard this year to release a new service that can accurately determine if ChatGPT has solved a student’s problem.
Experts at Turnitin say they rely on the fact that the ChatGPT model writes very evenly.

The New York City Department of Education became the first school district to ban ChatGPT in January. Not all school districts followed suit. Meanwhile, educators are forced to rely on instincts if they feel a student has used plagiarism.
