Being on the hit Netflix TV show is all about fun and games, until the monkey pees directly in your eyes.

in Monday’s episode The Tonight Show, outer banks Star Chase Stokes opened up about his nightmare day on set while filming season 3 of the series, which aired on Netflix on Thursday.

Stokes told Jimmy Fallon he was attacked by birds after touching toxic tree sap Before A traumatic encounter with a monkey.

Stokes, who plays John B., leader of the Pogues in the series, said an unimaginable series of unfortunate events occurred while filming in the jungle of Barbados where he was performing a stunt for the season finale.

One of the crew members then informed Stokes that he had been exposed to toxic tree sap, which had spread all over his arm. He said his arm was treated and eventually told the director he was fine after recovering.

Stokes continued this “100% true” story, then shared that a bird flew behind his head. But nothing matched the eye-popping encounters of the actors.

“So it started to rain,” says one of our crew members. “And I looked up and he immediately said, ‘No, it’s not raining.’ It’s monkey pee. And the monkey literally pees directly into my eyeballs.”

Impressively, Stokes didn’t call back at the time and said he managed to get through this terrifyingly hilarious day and finish filming the rest of the scenes for the day.

“I’m just trying to make a TV show,” Stokes said.
