A woman vacationing aboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s Bliss cruise ship in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, allegedly became trapped in the middle of a waterslide, and video of the incident is leaving bystanders feeling claustrophobic.

The video, which has been viewed 16 million times since it was posted on April 1, shows a woman hurtling down a water slide, but can’t get past the loop and gets stuck in the tube.

The video appears to have been posted by the woman’s daughter, Paige Hodgson (@paigejhodgson), who found the situation quite amusing.

Hodgson, who is from Wales, wrote in text overlays, “My mum got stuck on a waterslide over the ocean” and “Look how fast she goes,” adding a variety of emojis to her text, including one crying and one laughing.

“Sorry mom!” she wrote, adding in the caption, “Guess how long she was stuck?”

Needless to say, viewers were shocked by the video.

“My claustrophobia is going to be claustrophobic,” reads the top comment, which has garnered 30,000 likes.

“No I would pass out. I would get claustrophobic watching this,” shared another user.

Other viewers requested a video of Hodgson’s mother emerging from the waterslide.

“I demand a video of the last time she comes out of the slide,” one person said.

but, New VideosHodgson and her mother go down the slide several times – they go down it a total of five times. The video shows that the slide is designed to “stuck” users – they have to use their own momentum to get over the loop or they’ll fly backwards and come to a stop.

This is also not the first time that a rider has become “stuck” on this slide. In 2022, Fox News report A woman got stuck on the waterslide in the same way that Hodgson and her mother did. A witness to the incident told Fox News, “The woman didn’t get stuck on the waterslide for long. … The slide had a side door and she was able to get out quickly.”

Apparently there was an emergency hatch that passengers could use to get stuck in, and like Hodgson and her mother, the passenger was unfazed by the incident. “She got out and was ready to slide back in,” a person at the scene told Fox News.
