Participants at the National Education Association’s recent convention in Orlando, Fla., reportedly waved rainbow signs and proclaimed “freedom to teach” and “freedom to learn.” Demonstrators are protesting parents’ concerns that the content contained in certain books is considered pornography, and this opposition has branded them as “book flags.” It’s strange that “academic freedom” introduces books that promote behaviors and ideas that many parents object to, but “censorship” is against it.

They also contain arithmetic. “A wall that is 77 feet long, 6.5 feet high, and 14 inches thick is made of bricks that cost $9 per square foot. If 22 bricks are enough to make a cubic foot wall, , what is the total cost of bricks?”
Grammar: “Define five of the following terms: antecedent, tense, object, conjugation, auxiliary verb, curse, and reflexive pronoun.”

Why is it dangerous to your health?)” was. community?”), history, music, and reading. These were underpinned by daily Stars and Stripes salutes and other expressions of patriotism.

Is it the faculty unions and other activists who see schools not as places to educate the next generation, but as centers to indoctrinate a secular, progressive worldview?
