After sharing a nightmare scenario of having completely drained her Bank of America account and how she discovered it, the woman is now viral in Tiktok.

Sierra (@curlyheadsierraaa), a Florida-based content creator, said it all started when she tried to buy a drink at Wawa, but her card was rejected. Confused, she checked her account and was sure she had money on it. That’s when she discovers a real problem. Her whole balance was gone.
In a recent clip of Tiktok, Sierra broke what happened and whether she had any shots to get the money back. But so far, things don’t look good. As of Sunday, she video It has attracted over 1.1 million viewers.

Sierra said in Wawa: “Everything [her] Money was drained, but she wasn’t exaggerating. Her Bank of America account balance was flat $0.00.
When she called the bank, she found out why. Bank of America was suing her for the debt she owed. Kicker? Sierra said she didn’t know. She was never served and had received the paperwork.
However, according to the person she spoke to, it was legal in Florida to discharge an account without notice until the debt was paid off.
“If I had known this was going to happen, I would have obviously paid,” she said. “I didn’t know.”
Bank of America told her he had no money — and that future deposits would also be taken. Her options were: Pay your debt in full or set up a payment plan.

In the caption of her clip, she doubled her disappointment over the situation, writing, “I’m trying to avoid crashes when we talk.”
Also, things don’t seem to have improved since the first clip of the content creator. Follow up videoSierra added that the bank switch would not help her situation.
“I could have made a bank by Chase or anyone,” she said. “As long as you have an account in your name, you’ll continue to withdraw all your money until everything is cleared.”
Some viewers say this is not legal. Is that?
Unfortunately, it’s legal at least in Florida. According to Alper’s methodcreditors can award bank accounts to collect debts if they have obtained a court decision and have followed appropriate legal action.
That seems to have happened in the Sierra case. She says she was never served, but Bank of America argued that it wasn’t – and once the court approves the decoration, creditors can legally drain your account until the debt is paid back.
What’s even worse is that creditors don’t need to give you heads up.
“The judgment creditor does not need to inform us in advance that he intends to decorate his bank account,” the law firm points out. “If a creditor needs to provide a sophisticated notification to the debtor…the debtor has the opportunity to empty the account.”
It is unclear how long this ordeal will last for Sierra. She hasn’t said how much money it cost or how much she still owe it. And given the situation, it is probably the least worried about her.

In the comments below Sierra’s original video, several self-identified banks and collection workers cried out.
“I [have worked] For collection agencies for the past 20 years, we freeze accounts, call and create payment plans and release funds,” a woman shared.
“I worked at a debt collection law firm,” another said. “This is legal, but if you’re not actually serving it, you can fight it.”
“This happened when I signed my ex and the car,” the third viewer added. “We lent the bank in the same place as the loan and they wiped me clean.
Others encouraged Sierra to take legal action, but the content creators expressed doubt that she could afford a lawyer.
“And during the recession? Girl Sue!!” encouraged one Tiktoker.
“I’ve never heard of anything like that. I don’t think they can do it. It doesn’t sound right,” another added.
“That sounds rough, I’ll get a lawyer as soon as possible!!! This is definitely not your fault!” wrote a third woman.
