Bucs Rank Very Low On NFLPA Survey

NFLPA announced 2024 Team Report Card, And the Bucks weren’t at the top of the class. The league received 1,706 responses from players, providing comprehensive information about individual clubs across 11 categories: family treatment, meals/cafeteria, dieticians/dietitians, locker rooms, training rooms, training staff, weight rooms, strength coaches, and team travel. Bucks ranked 24th overall

Tampa Bay didn’t rank in the top 10 in any region. The team’s best accomplishment was in the area of ​​strength coaching, where the team earned him an A- and ranked him 11th overall. There were four B grades and two C grades. But the worst ratings were for treatment of families (F), team travel (F), and ownership (D-).

Although the team ranked 28th when it comes to treating families, the study highlights two key areas of opportunity.

Most teams offer family rooms and child care free of charge. In a multibillion-dollar company like an NFL team, little things like that would seem like common sense.

When it comes to team travel, the Bucks had the worst F grade in the league. Players discussed issues such as travel schedules (28th), amount of personal space on flights (27th), forcing young players to have roommates unless they pay $1,750, and team staff securing first class seats. The players took issue with things like sitting in the back seat of an airplane.

Ranked 29th overall, the Bucks’ owners received a 6.1 out of 10 rating from their players for their willingness to invest in the team’s facilities.

Bucks HC Todd Bowles receives solid reviews but is ranked low

For “Head Coach,” respondents gave Todd Bowles a B-, which isn’t a bad overall rating in and of itself. That is until its slope basically rides a curve. Bowles was ranked 26th out of 32 players overall.

Only the Falcons, Commanders and Raiders earned worse grades.

All three teams changed head coaches last season.

Despite the low grade, the Bucks actually improved in 2024

The Bucks actually improved from 2023 despite ranking just outside the bottom quartile of the league. Ranked 26th overall. In particular, nutrition went from a D to a B, and the training room went from a C+ to a B-. But just as many categories fell into place.

The family goes from D+ to F, the weight room goes from B+ to B, the strength coach goes from A to A-, and the training staff goes from A- to B.

Owner and head coach were both categories that were not included last year.
