From there, the team enters Phase 2. Phase two is his three weeks and includes on-site work and instruction. However, live contact drills will not be allowed in the second phase, nor will periods where offense and defense are evenly matched.
Finally, there is phase 3. This is a phase that more closely resembles the type of training teams do during the season. The NFL allows up to 10 “organized team activities” (OTAs), including 11-on-11, 7-on-7, and other offense-versus-defense drills. However, live contact is not yet allowed at this stage.
While these initial steps are considered voluntary, the final practice for Bucks players before they head off for the summer will be a mandatory three-day minicamp in June.
