Edmonds was supposed to be a change-of-pace backup running back after signing with the team in free agency, but he only had four carries for 20 yards this season before getting injured.

Chase Edmonds could add momentum to Tampa Bay’s ground game, which ranks 29th in the league averaging just 77 yards per game. His 14-yard run against the Bears in Week 2 remains his longest run of the season.
The 5-foot-9, 210-pound Edmonds was a fourth-round pick out of Arizona in 2018 and was acquired by the Bucs after rushing for 1,796 yards and 11 touchdowns, averaging 4.5 yards per carry, in his five-year NFL career. It’s here. His most productive season came in 2021, when he ran for 596 yards and two touchdowns for the Cardinals, before signing with Miami in free agency the following year. Edmonds started 11 games for Arizona that season and 18 in his career.
The Fordham product also serves as an excellent receiver out of the backfield. He has 144 career receptions for 1,078 yards (7.5 average) and six touchdowns. His best season was 2020, when he had 53 catches for 402 yards (7.6 average) and four touchdowns.
