Mariah Carey, 54, and Brian Tanaka, 40, are really done!
On Tuesday, Brian confirmed on Instagram that they had broken up after seven years together.

“Our decision to embark on separate paths was mutual, and as we move forward on these separate journeys, we do so with deep respect and overwhelming gratitude for the precious time we have shared. The memories and artistic collaboration we created were forever etched in my heart,” Brian continued. “Mariah’s dedication to her family and commitment to her craft has inspired us as we journey together. Love and gratitude to Mariah and her wonderful children. Their warmth and kindness have enriched my life in ways that words cannot express.”
Mr. Tanaka concluded his post. “I ask for your understanding, privacy, and respect during this delicate time. The outpouring of love and support from all of my fans has been a beacon of strength and I am so grateful for the encouragement that continues to lift me up. I know my passion for inspiration, dance, and the creative arts will resonate with this chapter as it unfolds, and I’m really looking forward to continuing the journey.”
A source recently told Page Six that Mariah and Brian split over children. They said: “He wants to have a family with her. That’s not where she is.”

Mariah, 54, is already a mother to twins Moroccan and Monroe, 12. Tanaka, who is 40 years old, does not have any children yet.
Another source claimed, “He wants to start moving on with his life.”
Last week, Carey was spotted in Aspen without Brian, fueling rumors of a breakup.
For the past few years, the two have been photographed out and about in Aspen during the holidays.
Brian was also absent from Mariah’s recent Christmas show.
Carey has recently hinted at a breakup. tell People magazine said, “I’ve been looking forward to Christmas this year like it’s been all year since last year — and last year wasn’t the best. I appreciate everyone, but it wasn’t the happiest Christmas ever.” ”
Brian last posted about Mariah in March. In honor of her birthday, he wrote on Instagram: Until now. Happy anniversary to my beautiful queen. 🦋3/27🦋❤️”
The two have been dating since 2016.
