The Biden administration signed a deal late Tuesday to deport immigrants outside of Mexico as part of a host of additional measures to prepare for what could be a historic immigration surge when Title 42 ends next week. He announced that he had secured a deal with Mexico.

Mexico had agreed to accept a similar number of Title 42s (a COVID-era public health order that allows for the rapid deportation of migrants at its southern border), but the order will be released on May 11 with the end of COVID.
