Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater made a rare public appearance at the 2024 Stanley Cup Finals. The pair began dating after meeting on the set of “Wicked.” In the viral photo, the pair can be seen enjoying the Florida Panthers’ win over the Edmonton Oilers.
Notably, they were standing in the stands at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida wearing Florida Panthers jerseys.
A Florida native, Grande was all smiles as the Florida Panthers won the game, beating the Oilers 3-0, further adding to the 30-year-old singer’s excitement for date night.
News of their affair first broke in July 2023, the same month Grande and ex-husband Dalton Gomez’s separation was confirmed. The two married in May 2021 and filed for divorce in September 2023. They legally separated in March 2024.
She reportedly began dating Slater before he split with his wife, Lily Jay. The two married in 2018 and became parents to a baby boy in August 2022. He filed for divorce from Jay in July 2023.
Though the internet is abuzz with speculation, the Wicked actors are very private about their relationship. Unlike other star couples, they rarely make public appearances together, including last November when Ariana opened for the 32-year-old actor at the opening night of his Broadway show Spamalot. They’ve also been spotted on two other occasions out and about with friends in New York City and at Disneyland.
On April 11, Ariana posted a series of photos. Instagram Via CinemaCon, the photo features a glimpse of Slater alongside co-stars Cynthia Erivo and Michelle Yeoh. It was the first time Slater had appeared on the singer’s feed, and people saw the photo as a soft launch.
Despite their burgeoning romance, the couple has constantly faced criticism over allegations that they were dating each other while still being with other people – allegations that both teams have denied.
