Ariana Grande’s new video for her song “The Boy Is Mine” features surprise cameos from Brandy and Monica, who released the 1998 hit of the same name.

Shortly after the music video was released on Friday, Grande took to her Instagram Story to express her love for the R&B singers and her gratitude for their participation. “You have no idea what this means… [to] Myself. I am still convinced that it is all a dream.”

“I’m still crying,” she added in a subsequent post.

The video begins with rats jumping on panicked cleaning workers outside, before cutting to Grande bottles the pills at home as television news reports play.

Brandi and Monica then appear as news anchors, informing viewers that the mayor (played by Penn Badgley) will be holding a press conference after a campaign event where he promises to bring “immediate change to the city.”

“This is an opportunity for the mayor to show action and not just words,” Brandi said of the mayor. (Check out the music video below.)

Grande’s version of “The Boy Is Mine” appears on her latest album, “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” which was released in March.

Brandy and Monica’s adorable 1998 duet It stayed at number one for 13 weeks. The song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 the year it was released. The song earned the duo a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.

“I’ve always wanted to reinterpret that song in some way,” she said at the time.

“A lot of my fans really, really love bad girl anthems,” she added.
