Mama June Shannon’s eldest son, Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, has died of cancer at just 29 years old.
June made a heartbreaking announcement. Instagram On Sunday, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the following. @annamarie35 No longer with us. She passed away peacefully at my home at 11:12pm last night. ”
She continued: “After a fierce battle for 10 months, she passed away surrounded by her family. Today we will keep you all informed as more information becomes available. I love you,” he continued. We continue to keep our family in our prayers and thoughts during this difficult time. ”
She added a hashtag to the obi. #mamajune #prayer #gunfucking #family.
Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson wrote: Instagram“This is one of those posts I wish I didn’t have to make 💔 Last night we all surrounded Anna with love and told her it was okay to go. Unfortunately around 11 p.m. , Anna took her last breath. Anna was in so much pain at the end of the night, but now as a family we know she is at peace now. ”
“I don’t know what to say because I’m completely heartbroken,” she continued. “It hasn’t been easy watching my 29-year-old sister battle this terrible disease over the last year. Anna has been a fighter and is still fighting. Lord, her two babies… Please wrap your arms around our family. Everything will be resolved in a few days.” It’s true 🥹. I’m so glad you waited until I got home to take my last breath! I wish you could have watched me graduate from college, but I know you’ll be cheering me on forever in heaven! We do! She was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer in January and had been battling the disease ever since.
June sometimes avoided social media for fear of having to dig into her daughter’s fight when she didn’t have the energy.
Ms. Cardwell is the mother of daughters Caitlin, 12, and Kylie, 8, who both survive.
