The Times Union cited a social media post from the Empire State Passenger Association saying the line outage will allow CN to repair the tracks and hopefully prevent the outage. ESPA said the service will not affect portions of the Adirondack route between New York City and Saratoga Springs, including during the June 8 Belmont Stakes.
