(ABC 6 News) – Albert Lea’s skies Saturday were filled with giant, colorful kites to raise funds for a new inclusive playground for the community.

A “Let Inclusion Fly” kite festival was held at Edgewater Park for several hours.

Besides kites, there were food trucks, games, face paintings and even a dunk tank for the community.

This kite festival is all about raising funds for a new inclusive playground for Albert Lee.

An organization called All Together Albert Lee Inclusive Playground and Miracle Field creates a place for people of all ages to come together and ensure that children are never left on the sidelines. is the goal.

The estimated cost of the playground is about $1.25 million.

The festival was also organized by Great American Kite & Events.
