1. Download maps for offline use

My favorite features introduced in iOS 17 are: Download Apple MapsDownloading maps means you can get directions and use your GPS even if you lose phone service.
You can now select any area in Apple Maps and save it for offline use, a great feature to ensure you have directions if you’re traveling at high altitudes where phone service is spotty.

Apple Live Voicemail is one of the most exciting features in iOS 17. When you leave a voicemail message, you will get a real-time transcription of what the other person is saying. With this feature, you will know what the other person wants to call about and if it is an important call. Best of all, Live Voicemail allows you to answer the call while the voicemail is still being left.

3. Visual Search

One of the most interesting features of iOS 17 that I’ve already been making great use of is Visual SearchYou might not know what’s in the background of your photo, but your iPhone can. With Visual Lookup, you can take a photo and find what’s in the background of the image. Whether it’s a famous place, a dog breed, or an unknown flower, Visual Lookup will tell you about anything you see.

4. Use Siri without saying “Hey”

Activating Siri is now even easier in iOS 17. “SiriTyping ” ” will now launch Apple’s voice assistant. It may seem like a small change, but it’s something Siri fans have been asking for since the Assistant launched with the iPhone 4S in 2011.

Standby is a new feature Introduced in iOS 17, this feature turns your iPhone into a clock for your nightstand. Standby shows you a clock face, calendar, and weather while your phone is charging in landscape mode.
