Almost everyone has traditions that guide their actions and daily activities. Traditions can be beautiful, but they can also be harmful to ourselves and others. It all depends on the traditions you choose to honor.
Unfortunately, not everyone has healthy voluntary traditions of family commitment, volunteerism, and gratitude.
Recently, someone asked me online, “What’s a bad ‘tradition’?” And people responded with what they considered the most unacceptable tradition.
1 – hymen test
Hymen testing is surprisingly a fairly common practice. It is done to determine if a woman has lost her virginity. This is also called a “two-finger” or “vaginal exam” and is often referred to as a form of abuse.
seriously?
2 – Child Marriage
Child marriage is defined as marriage where one or both couples are under the age of 18. Under no circumstances should this be allowed or legal, but unfortunately it is still allowed.
“Unfortunately, it’s still legal in more than half of the 50 US states, but it’s mostly practiced by religious cults,” one person wrote.
3 – Circumcision
Circumcision has many benefits, including reduced risk of urinary tract infections, reduced risk of penile cancer, and improved hygiene. But despite its benefits, people are starting to wonder if it’s ethical.
4 – Bachelor/Ette Party
Not all bachelor/ette parties include striptease or eroticism, but a huge number do.
Infidelity is one of the worst things that can happen in any relationship. Relationships can crack and over time cannot be repaired. And if you truly love your partner, you should think twice before committing that “final” act of pleasure. It’s not worth risking your love life for that.
If you think marriage is like prison, don’t get married.
5 – Cut the puppy’s ears and dock the tail
Tail docking is done to prevent rabies and injury and to comply with breed standards and hygiene reasons. There is also an unproven theory that dogs are less aggressive. But these days it’s done for such trivial reasons as ‘aesthetic’. Ordinary animal lovers resent this tradition, dismissing it unless it is key to a dog’s survival.
6 – Purity Ball
Some believe they are “original harassers”.
Someone asked, “What is the Purity Ball?” Never heard of it before. “
Another said, “Here Christian adolescent girls dress up like prom, dance with their fathers (if they’re lucky), and promise to ‘save themselves’ for their husbands.” It’s the place,” he explained. It’s creepy. “
7 – Animal fight
It is widely practiced for recreational and gambling purposes and is commonplace, but is now also considered a form of abuse.
8 – Resurrection
Someone online enlightened us with these words: “They wrap you in blankets and your new parents sit on top of you until you perk up and ‘reborn’.” Children can die from suffocation, lung collapse, or simply exhaustion There is a nature. “
It doesn’t logically make sense for a person to do this to anyone, let alone a small child, but it is still practiced and is one of the dreaded traditions that should be stopped.
