Can you believe that someone could run seven marathons across seven continents in seven days? James Elliott Square and Paris Norris are aiming to make it happen. Yes, this is not a training.
The Dubai-based duo are planning to take on this endurance challenge in 2025, and are currently preparing for it in full force. In January, he plans to complete 42.2km of the World Marathon Challenge. James and Paris announced in an Instagram post that they are preparing to take on the grueling challenge.
“After a grueling summer training (at least partly) in the Dubai heat, I’m really happy to be back in beautiful weather. The fruits of my months of training and preparation are starting to show. “Paris will be competing in the ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon this weekend to update her pace and see where she’s at, and James is training as hard as ever,” the update reads. It’s dark.
But they don’t just do it for fitness. The pair also hope to raise money for the Sparkle Foundation and Sovereign Arts Foundation, which help underprivileged children.
The post went on to say, “We’re only a month and a half away from our challenge to complete 7 marathons in 7 days on 7 continents in support of children at the Sovereign Arts Foundation. Thank you for supporting us so far. Thank you to all our sponsors.”
The two hope to raise $200,000 to help children who have been victims of human trafficking and violence.
