5 things conservatives need to know before AI wipes out conservative thought altogether

newYou can now listen to Fox News articles.

The ‘godfather of AI’ Jeffrey Hinton has left Google out of fear that his former employer intends to introduce artificial intelligence in ways that are harmful to humans. “It’s hard to see how we can prevent the bad guys from taking advantage of it,” Hinton recently told The New York Times.

But slamming the door does nothing to atone for his own deeds, and certainly does nothing to keep AI programmers’ main target, conservatives, from cancellation. .

As the battle for AI heats up, here are five things you should know.

Fake Pentagon explosion images go viral on Twitter, raising concerns about AI

1. Google’s new monopoly on “truth”

Elon Musk recently revealed that Google co-founder Larry Page and other Silicon Valley leaders want AI to establish a “digital god who understands everything in the world.” bottom. [A]It returns the exact “correct” one instantly. ” It is difficult to imagine anything more dangerous to a pluralistic, democratic republic than a single entity giving ‘truth’.

It is a prerequisite of pluralism that no one has a monopoly on truth. But pluralism is anathema to authoritarians and unacceptable to AI tech executives. Conservatives are already seeing how Big Tech censors and cancels us based on our beliefs and political views. AI is turbocharged to do this in endless ways.

2. Brainwashing is no longer science fiction

Americans are beginning to understand that the dangers of AI extend far beyond economic disruption. They also do more than just silence speech. The latest AI-powered gadgets are giving technology companies access to our most intimate thoughts and most sensitive data. They have already started mapping our minds so they can manipulate our thoughts.

Duke University law professor Nita Farahany, a biologist, philosopher and human rights lawyer, said the Chinese government is using AI to analyze facial expressions and brainwaves to punish people who aren’t loyal communists. Explain and sound the alarm.

U.S. tech companies could use similar technology to hack into users’ brains and steal PIN codes, Farahani said. It can also track brain waves via sensors embedded in watches and headphones to determine which political messages are most persuasive to users.

AI will soon enable lying politicians to deceive more voters than ever before. When Farahani tried to explain these dangers to the World Economic Forum, the Davos snobs erupted in enthusiastic applause. They see the dangers of AI as an asset.

3. The Republican Party is just the Grand Old Party

Republicans in Congress even discussing AI are focused on how many nurses and truck drivers will lose their jobs, rather than the serious threat AI poses to our very nature as humans. Economic chaos will almost certainly ensue, but Republicans are missing out on serious consequences for freedom.

At the first AI hearing held this year by the House Innovation Subcommittee, Big Tech lobbyists admitted that self-driving car makers will swallow any data imaginable “for our own safety.” However, the committee also promised to try not to share this data with other companies. Amazingly, no one asked the obvious question: What are the guarantees that these companies will not use this data for their customers?

You’d think Big Tech censorship lessons would draw all Republicans into the AI battle. it hasn’t happened yet.

Americans are beginning to understand that the dangers of AI extend far beyond economic disruption. They also do more than just silence speech.

4. Democrats get us where they want

The Biden administration and Democrats in Congress have a much better understanding that AI is the greatest tool we’ve ever had to socialize America. Many people pretend to call for a pause in AI development while still pushing the accelerator to develop AI as quickly as possible.

Here is reality. The Biden Administration Has Already Pledged $140 Million To Create Seven AI Research Institutes And Created A National Artificial Intelligence Advisory Board To Chart A “Pathway Toward Responsible And Inclusive AI.” just did Most notably, President Biden has indicated that he intends to direct federal agencies to “use AI tools” in their operations. There is no end to the Democrats’ use of AI.

5. But you can’t afford to fail

Communist China has just announced regulations requiring AI to be programmed to reflect “core socialist values” and avoid information that could undermine “state power.” .

The Chinese government and other authoritarians seek to harness the power of this new technology to control information and the masses. They would also use it extensively in war.

The trick is to lead the development of AI around the world while strengthening the appropriate guardrails to prevent the Left from attacking our freedoms. The window in which both can be achieved is small and shrinking.
