How to share your WiFi password

Visit your provider’s website to find the official app, add it to your smartphone, and log in using your ISP’s credentials.
They all have slightly different functions. For example, the Cox Panoramic Wifi app allows you to view and organize your devices, change your Wi-Fi name and password, troubleshoot connection issues, and more.

Use your router’s online interface
If you don’t have the app or don’t want to go through the hassle, this is a quick way to see who is using your network for what. Log in to your router to see the latest information about connected devices. Most models support this as it is a universal feature.
First, you’ll need your computer’s IP address. Here’s how to find it.
Once you have your IP address, enter it in your browser’s address bar. You can then log in using your router’s custom username and password, or the default information if you haven’t set one.

Try it on your Mac computer who is on my wifi. If they aren’t obvious, you’ll have to do a little research to identify some of the connected devices. Look for the description and manufacturer.
If it doesn’t recognize your device, don’t panic. Look around your home to see which appliances, TVs, tablets, laptops and smartphones are accessing Wi-Fi. There are a lot of them, so take your time and check off the list of devices. Any unrecognized connection is suspect. To check if there is an intruder on your network:

Sure, you want to boot strangers from your network, but you also need to look closer to home.
Remove devices you no longer use, such as old phones, speakers, laptops, game consoles, and tablets.
